Sue Lewak is the Director of Programs & Development, the Web Text Editor for the JHI website, and the IEC (Independent Educational Consultant) for JHI Pathways. She has a Certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from UC Irvine's Division of Continuing Education, is an Associate Member of the IECA, a Member of WACAC, and is a Strong Interest Inventory® Certified Practitioner.
Sue is also a writer and a specialist in storytelling and narrative. Her areas of interest include episodic storytelling, literary and cinematic adaptation, graphic fiction, and science fiction. She holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from UCLA, where she taught courses in 20th century American literature and film as a lecturer, instructor, and graduate teaching assistant. She was also the recipient of a Teaching Excellence Award and two Outstanding Teaching Recognition Awards from the English department at UCLA. She also holds an M.A. in Visual Anthropology from USC, an M.A. in English Literature from CalState- Los Angeles, and a B.A. in English Literature from Mount Holyoke College.
