Formats and Options

Program options include:


  • (V) Virtual through Zoom
  • (H) Hybrid - a weighted combination of in-person and virtual. The weighting is dependent upon  need and availability
  • (I) In-person (location-based)

Micro-credentials are available in the following formats:

  • V
  • H


  • JHI micro-credentials are targeted tracks for upskilling and workforce development in specific roles within the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry. 
  • Each track defines a sequence of roughly 40-instructional-hour courses that provide learners with micro-credentials and/or certification in specific film-industry skills. The ultimate goal is to advance learners’ skill sets, which will then give them the confidence to excel in their own work as filmmakers, production managers, directors, animators, and digital artist

Certificate/Diploma programs are available in the following formats:

  • V

  • Certificate/Diploma programs are best suited for you if your students have a fundamental knowledge of a discipline, and are aiming to specialize in a particular aspect of the discipline. They will offer your students hands-on, extended learning experience that covers industry best practices for a specific discipline (e.g., organic modeling); emphasis on portfolio development.

  • This program is best suited for you if your students have a fundamental knowledge of a discipline and are aiming to specialize in that specific discipline. It will offer your students hands-on, extended learning experience that covers industry best practices for a specific discipline (e.g., organic modeling); emphasis on portfolio development.

Intensive Workshops are available in the following formats:

  • Either is best suited for you if your students already have a  fundamental knowledge of a discipline and are aiming to specialize in that specific discipline.   Both offer hands-on, intensive learning experience that covers  industry best practices for a specific discipline (e.g., matte painting).

E. Two-day Masterclass (hands-on with demo/lecture):

The Masterclass is available in the following formats:

  • The masterclass is best suited for you if your students need to specialize in a specific discipline (e.g., texturing).  It will offer them an understanding of the discipline/stage best practices with emphasis on portfolio development.

Survey Seminars are available in the following formats:

  • Seminars are best suited for you if your students need to delve into the workflows for a range of topics. Seminars offer your students in-depth understanding of  industry best practices over a range of topics.
  • Note: No hands-on work.

  • These sessions are best suited for you if your students  are working on a project and need help with specific topics and workflows. They will offer your students personal guidance by an industry professional, allowing them to incorporate industry best practices into their projects.
