About The John Hughes Institute (JHI)
Who We Are:
We are a group of artists, technologists, and educators, headed by VFX-pioneer John Hughes, offering the best practices in the art + science of entertainment.
What, Where, and How We Do What We Do:
We focus on custom-made curricula for colleges and universities, as well as L&D training programs for DCC houses. We feature Advanced Specialization Programs (ASP) in computer animation, visual effects (VFX), and digital narrative, through hybrid environments of physical - and virtual - classrooms. We also work with animation and VFX studios to help design and implement education/training programs (and systems) for on-boarding and cross-training.
Why We Do It:
Our programs foster creative innovation, problem solving, and critical thinking in the art + science of entertainment. Our courses also enhance professional growth and career opportunities for work in games, XR, commercials, film & television, and themed entertainment.
